AXXIS EXTENDED DUTY BRAKE PADS For extended wear requirements
This is the latest offering in the Axxis portfolio. This material gives you similar performance and characteristics as the Axxis XBG Brake Pads, but with 15% to 35% longer life. Designed with the severe-duty requirements of fleet vehicles and SUVs in mind, these brake pads can be used on any vehicle that is in need of extended duty brakes. A remarkable value.
NOTE: Axxis pads for medium-duty applications, such as school buses, are made of an application-specific Extreme Duty formulation and only sold in the Extended Duty line.
Driving Styles:
Extended city and freeway braking Frequent stop-and-go conditions
Technical Features:
Severe or extreme duty semi-metallic applications
For fleet vehicles, SUVs, trucks or any vehicle with extended duty requirements
Priced competitively, especially if measure per mile of usage
100% shimmed, ensuring squeal-free braking
PERFORMANCE GRAPH EXPLANATIONS Low Noise: Measures degree to which pads cause brake noise – addresses customer’s need for quiet braking. 10 = Brakes are noiseless. 1 = Brakes are unreasonably noisy.
Low Dust: Measures degree to which brake pads keep wheels looking clean – addresses customer’s need to have dust-free wheels. 10 = Wheels are spotless. 1 = Wheels are unreasonably dusty.
Pad Life: Measures expected life of brake pads prior to replacement – addresses customer’s need for reasonable pad life. 10 = More than 60,000 miles. 1 = Less than 3,000 miles. Note: given variations in driving styles and conditions, these results will vary.
Rotor Life: Measures expected life of brake rotors prior to replacement – addresses customer’s need for reasonable rotor life. 10 = Longer rotor life. 1 = Excessive immediate wear. Note: given variations in driving styles and conditions, these results will vary.
Resistance to Fade (Repeated Stops): Measures decrease in friction over repeated heavy-duty stops as temperature increases – addresses customer’s need for consistent pedal feel. 10 = Friction does not change at all. 1 = Friction decreases to dangerously low level.
High Speed Effectiveness (High Speed Reduction / Stopping): Measures variation in friction level from the Operating Friction Level when stopping at high speeds – addresses customer’s need for consistent pedal feel. 10 = Exactly same as Operating Friction Level. 1 = Measurably lower.
Initial Pedal Feel (Green Friction Level): Measures initial friction level of brake pads when first installed on vehicle – addresses customer’s need for good pedal feel. 10 = High performance (feels great). 1 = Poor performance (too much effort).
Operating Friction Level (Long Term Pedal Feel): Measures typical friction level for bulk of the working life of the brake pad – addresses customer’s need for good pedal feel. 10 = High performance (feels great). 1 = Low performance (too much effort).
